    ATLANTA - Liberty's Darius McGhee and Jacksonville State's Peyton Daniels earned the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball weekly honors, announced by the league office on Monday. McGhee reached the milestone of 2,000 career points over the weekend and earned his sixth Player of the Week honor. Daniels was named Newcomer of the Week for the first time after recording the first three double-digit scoring performances of his career.

A luncheon follows the press conference during which the 2022 Preseason All-Conference honors will be announced. For the second consecutive season the Flames garnered Player of the Year (Caroline Hudson), Defensive Player of the Year (Hudson), Pitcher of the Year (Emily Kirby) and Coach of the Year (Dot Richardson) while the league's Freshman of the Year honor went to a pitcher for the second-straight season in Jacksonville State's Kat Carter.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference announced on Monday a pair of first-time awards as Eastern Kentucky's Jasmine Miller (Player) and Jacksonville State's Kat Carter (Pitcher) earned the Softball weekly awards. Miller batted .545 (6-for-11) on the week with a pair of home runs and six RBIs to secure the second Player of the Week award for the Colonels' program. JSU freshman Carter tossed two shutout victories and posted a 0.00 ERA in three appearances helping the Gamecocks to four consecutive shutouts and a berth in the ASUN Championship for the first time since the 2003 season.
