ATLANTA – Liberty's Jonathan Yaun, Lipscomb's Ford Goldasich and North Florida's Robbie Higgins all earned ASUN Conference Golf accolades after career victories during invitationals this week. All three individuals helped their respective teams to top-five finishes, with Liberty finishing first.
ATLANTA – ASUN Conference Men's Golf squads got back on the course for week three of action as it took place at The Grove Page Classic (Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, North Alabama) and the River Run Collegiate (Queens).
ATLANTA – Ford Goldasich of Lipscomb is the ASUN Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, announced Thursday by the league office. The junior from Homewood, Ala., scooped up his first career weekly honor after taking second place in the Streamsong Invitational thanks to a 16-under-par 200, a total that matched three-time ASUN Player of the Year Dawson Armstrong's program record from 2015-16 for the lowest 54-hole total. He turned in 20 birdies over three rounds and surrendered just three bogeys in the tournament to help lead the Bisons to a second-place finish in the event.
ATLANTA – Men's Golf within the ASUN Conference officially teed off last weekend as both Eastern Kentucky and Stetson took to the links to get the 2022-23 calendar underway. The Colonels were able to come away with a top-10 finish after placing in a tie for ninth at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invite in Muncie, Ind., while the Hatters competed in New York at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate and earned a runner-up placement with a second-place finish as a team.
