FGCU & JAX Play to 1-1 Draw in Friday Night #ASUNMSOC Showdown

ATLANTA – FGCU and Jacksonville played to a 1-1 draw on Friday night in the lone ASUN Conference Men's Soccer match of the night. The Eagles (3-0-2, 0-1-0 ASUN) kept their undefeated season alive in their conference opener while the Dolphins improved to 2-2-2 (0-1-1 ASUN) and preserved their home unbeaten streak (2-0-2).

Jacksonville freshman David Robinson opened the scoring in the 31st minute chipping in a ricocheted shot from point-blank range. The Dolphins held the lead over the next 43 minutes before Aaron Markowitz cashed in the equalizer on an FGCU corner try in the 44th minute. Wyatt Kistner recorded two saves in net for the Eagles while Jacksonville went with Christian Sekanina who collected six saves between the pipes. FGCU held a 22-6 shot advantage over the 90-minute contest with seven shots on goal compared to three from the Dolphins.
