NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four FGCU Eagles found the back of the net while holding North Florida to just four shots (3 SOG) on the night as the fourth-seeded Eagles powered their way to the ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Championship Semifinals for the first time since the Spring 2021 season by defeating #5 UNF for the third-straight time in postseason play. The Eagles turn their focus to #1/No. 12 Lipscomb on Monday night, Nov. 7, at 7 PM CT.

The sides played back-and-forth ball through the first 20 minutes with just FGCU registering a shot on goal. The Eagles broke through in the 29th minute after lining up for a free kick just beyond the 18. A UNF clear fell to the feet of Markus Maurer who fired a one-timer past Micah Gun for the 1-0 halftime lead. 

FGCU kept the pressure on in the second half with eight shots and three more goals. Aedon Kyra placed a header in net in the 69th minute for the brace, and Davi Alves pushed FGCU out to a 3-0 lead, placing a bending free kick around the UNF wall to the top-left corner. Luke Peperak (87:51) added the final touch with his point-blank shot in the 88th minute to ice the match.

Key Notes
- FGCU plays Lipscomb for the second time in nine days as the Eagles were the only conference team to defeat the Bisons, 1-0, in the regular season.
- The Eagles fired 13 shots in the game, including eight in the second half to power their way to the program's 11th tournament victory.
- Wyatt Kistner collected three saves in his sixth shutout of the season; Micah Gun earned three saves and Padraic Gilley tallied the 100th save of his career as the two keepers for UNF.
