FORT MYERS, Fla. – No. 2 seed FGCU's Margaret Berry poked a loose ball into the net midway through the second half of Thursday's ASUN Conference Women's Soccer Championship Quarterfinal and that proved to be the difference in a 1-0 victory against No. 7 North Florida.

After a scoreless opening half that saw the Eagles outshoot the Ospreys, 8-3, FGCU finally converted in the 74th minute as Berry found her way to the ball in the middle of a pack and was able to get enough foot on the ball to slip it into the net for the eventual match winner. UNF created a couple of scoring opportunities late but was unable to find the equalizer in its quarterfinal battle with the Eagles.

Key Notes
- FGCU finished the match with a 17-8 advantage in shot attempts led by five from Ericka Zschuppe; five different Eagles notched multiple shot attempts in the contest
- Osprey goalkeeper Sofia Miliancano made five saves in the contest including a pair of diving one-handed punch stops
- Eagles goalie Katie Sullivan finished with three saves en route to the tournament-opening shutout
