ATLANTA - The 2022 ASUN Conference Volleyball season enters the second weekend of conference play with teams looking for early advantages in postseason positioning. A 2021 Championship rematch takes place on Friday when Lipscomb hosts North Florida in the Match of the Week. The Bisons enter the weekend along with Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State and Liberty looking to remain undefeated in league action. The Owls and Gamecocks both travel to Virginia to face the Flames on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Match of the Week
North Florida at Lipscomb | Sept. 30 | 6 PM CT
The Ospreys travel to Nashville to face off against the Bisons for the only scheduled matchup of the season between the two squads. North Florida defeated Lipscomb, 3-1, in Fort Myers, Fla., last November in the quarterfinal round of the 2021 ASUN Championship. The Bisons went 2-0 last weekend to open conference play with wins against Eastern Kentucky and Bellarmine while UNF began league action with a five-set victory against defending champion FGCU.

What to Watch For

  • Liberty's Delaney Dilfer is currently seventh in the nation with an average of 11.00 assists per set; JSU's Katie Montgomery's .427 hitting percentage ranks ninth in the NCAA.
  • North Alabama sits third among all 334 NCAA Division I programs that are ranked by holding its opponents to a hitting percentage of .135 and is ninth with 16.86 digs per set.
  • The ASUN has five teams currently ranked inside the top 70 in the nation for hitting percentage: Jacksonville State (5th; .308), Kennesaw State (56th; .247), Liberty (61st; .245), FGCU (63rd; .244) Stetson (69th; .241).
